Although the Multidisciplinary Success Center is an academic space, the ideas of comfort and familiarity are important ones. We want this place to be one that students come back to again and again and through design, have achieved a sense of continuity throughout the space.
Student Computer Area
With four rows of computers for students, I wanted to create a desktop background that was striking without making the desktop icons unreadable. I ensured that when centered, the desktop background left a black space around the outside so the icons and their titles could still be visible.

A more recent update to the computer area was refreshing the information shown in the plastic tent display cases. Previously, orange pieces of paper were displayed that had outdated instructions on them. The display cases now advertise our learning skills course, Learn 11.

Flyer Holder Signage
At the success centers, we have many flyers and handouts for students. In order to more easily draw the eye, I created signage for the flyer holders. These designs have resulted in more students pulling out flyers and packets with activities designed to help them on their educational journey.
Signs and Labels
In other areas of the MDSC, we have instructional signs and labels for a variety of students and activities.
